Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aron Karlsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eiji Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitano has chosen Yoshida Brothers - Storm as his entrance music. Eiji Kitano is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aron Karlsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Eiji Kitano! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlsson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kitano napping and manages to drive through into side control! Karlsson takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Kitano to pass into mount. Kitano looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Karlsson tightening his grip on Kitano, looking for the choke. Kitano tries to roll but Karlsson sticks to his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kitano keeps trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Good control from Karlsson. Kitano rolls, trying to escape but Karlsson keeps control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karlsson looking for the choke but no joy. I would not like to be Kitano right now.
Kitano is in bad spot here.
Karlsson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kitano has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kitano manages to reverse the position and now he's in Karlsson's guard. Nice work there by Kitano.
Kitano wants to control from the top but Karlsson keeps moving. Karlsson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kitano looking to sit in guard and control but Karlsson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Karlsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kitano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kitano has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Forest Hill Gym . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Karlsson preventing the sweep. Kitano is striking from the bottom but Karlsson uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Karlsson in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karlsson prevents Kitano from improving his position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kitano can do anything to dispel that myth. Karlsson seems to be looking for submissions.
Kitano tries to roll over but Karlsson keeps him under control. Kitano wants to control but Karlsson is keeping busy.
Karlsson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kitano sees it coming and defends easily. Karlsson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kitano doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Karlsson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Karlsson trying to advance position but Kitano counters by regaining guard. Karlsson trying to control but Kitano is working from the bottom. Kitano throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kitano throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Aron Karlsson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kitano darts in looking for a takedown but Karlsson gets double underhooks and turns Kitano into the cage. Karlsson fails with a takedown attempt. Karlsson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kitano defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Karlsson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aron Karlsson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Karlsson clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Karlsson pushes Kitano back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Karlsson is pressed up against the cage. Kitano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Karlsson down to the mat. Karlsson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kitano feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kitano pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Karlsson is keeping the position for now. Karlsson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kitano is aware though and is defending well. Kitano must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karlsson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Karlsson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kitano. Karlsson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Karlsson keeping moving, preventing Kitano from controlling successfully. Kitano postures up in Karlsson's guard and throws a big left but Karlsson blocks it. Karlsson has his foot on Kitano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kitano works his way back into a safe position though. Karlsson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Karlsson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kitano wants to pass the guard but Karlsson is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kitano's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kitano working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kitano missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kitano trying to control but Karlsson is working from the bottom. Karlsson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kitano can do to turn this around? Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kitano's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Karlsson keeping moving, preventing Kitano from controlling successfully. Kitano throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitano working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Karlsson's head. Kitano pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Karlsson is keeping the position for now. Karlsson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kitano in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Karlsson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kitano rolls with it to try and escape but Karlsson cranks on the arm and Kitano is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
