Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grimson Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rene Simard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grimson Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rene Simard! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simard manages to avoid it. Bob closes this distance looking for a takedown but Simard circles away. Simard is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Simard keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bob. Simard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bob sprawls well. Bob wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Simard gets slowly back to his feet. Bob takes a swing at Simard's ribcage but misses. Simard avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bob is defended easily by Simard. Simard looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bob has his takedown stuffed and Bob takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Grimson Bob has been cut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grimson Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bob misses with a takedown attempt - Simard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bob shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Simard as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bob sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Simard somewhat. Bob drops down looking for a counter takedown but Simard sprawls and moves away. Bob looks for a takedown but Simard sprawls well. Bob slaps away a takedown attempt from Simard, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bob bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Simard explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Nice sprawl there from Bob as Simard shoots in. Simard scores with a punch to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bob shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bob showed some decent athleticism there. Simard is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bob's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bob's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob trying to control the position but Simard manages to sink in the hooks. Bob tries to roll but Simard sticks to his back.
Bob knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simard on the ground. Bob wants to control his opponent's hands but Simard gets his hands free. Bob is trying to roll into a better position but Simard has get a rear naked choke and Bob is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
