Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bich Nga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
35 - 21 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Steel!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel dodges the punch combination from Nga.
The fighters circling - Steel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Steel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nga dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nga moves out of range as Steel throws a body kick.
Nga moves away from the strike by Steel.
Steel thuds his shin into the meat of Nga's side.
Steel has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nga swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Steel counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Steel avoids the head kick by Nga.
Nga doesn't manage to clinch there - Steel circles away.
Nga looks for the body kick but Steel saw that one coming.
Steel throws a leg kick but Nga moved away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A cross from Steel lands.
Some bone on bone action there as Nga checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Steel drops Nga with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nga looks back up at him and smiles so Steel waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nga is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Are you kidding me?! Steel ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Nga clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
