Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stacey Poole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Mitchell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stacey Poole! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poole misses with a head kick.
Mitchell throws a nice head kick!
Mitchell throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Poole throws a nice looking combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. As Poole tries to get set, Mitchell tries to push him back and clinch up but Poole manages to avoid the attempt. The fighters circling - Poole throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Poole throws a leg kick which misses Mitchell's front leg but catches the back leg as Mitchell tries to avoid it. Poole throws a head kick that misses. Poole shoots for a double leg takedown but Mitchell sprawls well. He's pushed Poole's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mitchell drives through and clinches with Poole against the cage.
Poole wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

James Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mitchell punishes Poole's body with a nice straight punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mitchell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Poole stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poole fails with a takedown attempt. James Mitchell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stacey Poole. Poole throws a leg kick but Mitchell moved away. Mitchell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fight moves into the clinch position. Mitchell misses with a hook to the ribs.

Mitchell takes an elbow to the temple. Mitchell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Poole connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Poole fails in his attempt to clinch. Mitchell looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Mitchell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Poole's sensitive parts. Poole throws out a leg kick but Mitchell moves out of range and Poole only half commits. Mitchell ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Poole with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mitchell to score with a decent uppercut. Mitchell throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Poole.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mitchell. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Poole moves into the clinch successfully.
Mitchell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Poole avoids it. Poole jumps guard but Mitchell stands there with Poole around his waist. Poole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Poole looks winded! Poole on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mitchell lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Mitchell breaks the clinch.
Poole misses with a looping left. Poole on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Mitchell lands with a right hand. Poole closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mitchell circles away. Mitchell has Poole up against the cage in a clinch.
Poole is trying to push Mitchell away but Mitchell has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Knees in the clinch landing for Mitchell.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitchell lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Poole. A short right from Mitchell on the inside. Mitchell manages to break the clinch.

Poole falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mitchell makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. A solid body kick from Mitchell. Mitchell throws a nice inside leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mitchell lands with a cross. A decent looking body kick lands there for Mitchell. Mitchell pushes Poole away with a front kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Poole rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mitchell moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mitchell doesn't manage to clinch there - Poole circles away.

Mitchell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Poole. Mitchell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Mitchell's jab looks to have found its range, popping Poole under the eye. Poole looks for a takedown but Mitchell sprawls well.
And that's the end of the fight! James Mitchell showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mitchell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
