Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drevin Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alejandro Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell tries to clinch up but Gonzales circles away and keeps his distance.
Bell throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gonzales counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gonzales takes a swing at Bell's ribcage but misses.
Gonzales uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bell tries to clinch up.
Bell pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Bell shoots for a double leg takedown but Gonzales sprawls well. He's pushed Bell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bell clinches with his opponent.
A left hand lands to the body for Gonzales.
Gonzales cracks Bell with a nice body shot.
Gonzales working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Gonzales lands a body punch.

The referee calls for Gonzales to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gonzales digs a right hand underneath Bell's ribcage. Bell let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Bell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gonzales is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gonzales walks away with a smile on his face. Bell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drevin Bell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Drevin Bell has been cut.
Gonzales swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gonzales showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bell.
Bell is breathing heavily.
Bell throws a lazy body kick
and Gonzales counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gonzales throws a good cross that connects.
Bell is rocked!
Gonzales scores with a shot to the body.
Oh Bell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gonzales lands a jab to Bell's midsection.
Bell glances at the clock... BAM! Gonzales nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Bell crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Bell is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alejandro Gonzales!
