Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Olavi Korhonen! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Korhonen thows a left - swing and a miss! Veljanovski slips under a jab. An attempted straight right counter from Veljanovski misses the target. Korhonen throws a hook but Veljanovski blocks it. Korhonen listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Veljanovski's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Korhonen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Veljanovski scrambles back to his feet.

Veljanovski feints and as Korhonen raises his hands in defense, Veljanovski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Korhonen being controlled here, momentarily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Veljanovski is figuring out what he wants to do next. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Korhonen can do anything to dispel that myth.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Korhonen for as long as he can get away with.

Veljanovski ducked under it nicely. Veljanovski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Korhonen can do to turn this around? Veljanovski is looking to take this fight into the clinch. It seemed like Korhonen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Korhonen lands with a cross. Veljanovski ducks under a wild hook from Korhonen. Olavi Korhonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Korhonen throws a lazy uppercut
and Veljanovski counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Korhonen! Korhonen tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Veljanovski scores with a couple of good head shots there.
