The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimbardo lands a front kick.
Bellwether has Zimbardo up against the cage in a clinch.
Bellwether presses Zimbardo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bellwether.
Zimbardo blocks a body shot from Bellwether.
Zimbardo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Zimbardo is trying to break the clinch but Bellwether has him pressed against the cage.
Bellwether lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Zimbardo wants to control but Bellwether passes into side.
Bellwether controlling the position from side mount.
Bellwether wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zimbardo keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bellwether working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bellwether has hold of Zimbardo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Zimbardo seems comfortable defending it but Bellwether has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Zimbardo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zimbardo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bellwether couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Beckett Bellwether!
A relieved looking Beckett Bellwether thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
