Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Chin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, AJ Heid!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heid misses with a body kick.
Chin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Chin digs a good hook to Heid's body.
Chin jabs at Heid's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heid stuffs the takedown attempt from Chin. Chin gets slowly back to his feet.

Chin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Chin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Chin wants to take Heid's back but he can't do it this time.
Heid is in all sorts of trouble here.

Chin tries to roll over but Heid keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Horrible takedown by Chin or perhaps it was just good defense by Heid which made him look bad.
Chin fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Chin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Heid as he jumps to the side.

Heid pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chin misses with a takedown attempt - Heid sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Chin lands a slapping body shot.
Chin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Chin has a takedown stuffed.
Chin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Heid tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Chin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Heid swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Chin avoids the head kick by Heid.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chin.
Chin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Chin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Chin dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Heid misses with a combination

so Chin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Heid has his foot on Chin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chin works his way back into a safe position though.

Heid had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Heid Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chin's back instead.
Chin tries to escape but Heid has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Chin rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Chin tries to get to full guard but Heid has control of the leg.

Heid is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Chin has managed to free his arm - good work.
Chin regains full guard. Nicely done.
Heid slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Heid working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Heid is breathing heavily.
Chin is looking to reverse the position.
Chin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Heid's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Heid wants to work for an arm triangle but Chin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Chin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Chin looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Heid is defending well. Chin quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Heid has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Chin celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mike Chin!
