Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Blisner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blisner comes to the ring accompanied by Garth Brooks- Friends in Low Places. Faber has chosen Pantera-mouth for war as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Chris Faber has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kirk Blisner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kirk Blisner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Faber! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Blisner looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Blisner fakes the leg kick and cracks Faber in the body. Faber looks gassed! Blisner drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Blisner is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Blisner landing some decent shots from guard. Blisner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Faber is proving hard to escape from. Blisner advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Blisner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Faber is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Blisner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Faber on the ground. Faber is being controlled here. Blisner is chipping away with strikes.
Blisner in side control, just content to control the action for now. Blisner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Blisner tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blisner remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blisner cracks Faber with a big right hand but Faber just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Blisner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Blisner doesn't manage to clinch there - Faber circles away.
Blisner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Faber sprawls well initially but Blisner persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Blisner winds up and cracks Faber with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Blisner seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Blisner scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Faber is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Blisner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Blisner is looking to advance position but Faber won't allow it. Blisner is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Faber!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Blisner lands with some strikes. Blisner controlling from the full mount. Faber defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Blisner. Blisner has hold of Faber's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Faber manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Blisner breaks the clinch.
Blisner punishes Faber's body with a nice straight punch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Blisner. Blisner controls the position. Blisner working the ground and pound from side control. Faber takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blisner slows the pace down. Faber on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Blisner landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Blisner decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blisner is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Blisner scores with a jab. Faber acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Chris Faber has been cut. Blisner moves into range and clinches up with Faber. Blisner has hold of one of Faber's legs. Faber is fighting the takedown attempt but Blisner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blisner wants to pass the guard but Faber is keeping the position. Blisner pushing down on Faber's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blisner content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kirk Blisner clearly takes that round. The cut man is working on Chris Faber's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Blisner thows a body kick. Faber tries to catch it but that hurt him. Blisner drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Blisner controls from within his opponent's guard. Blisner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Faber is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Faber working for submissions but it's allowed Blisner to get to half guard.
Faber is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blisner slips a nice elbow through Faber's hands, connecting with Faber's forehead. Faber is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Blisner scores with a couple of nice shots. Faber taking some punishment here, with Blisner in his half guard. Blisner passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Faber!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blisner is going olschool here, as he tries to force Faber to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Faber shrugs it off. Blisner has control of Faber's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Faber regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Blisner is landing with some decent strikes but Faber is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

An inside leg kick lands from Blisner. Blisner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Faber paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blisner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Faber, pushing him back against the ropes. Blisner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Faber can do to turn this around? Faber takes an elbow to the temple. Blisner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Blisner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Faber paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blisner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Blisner drags the fight down to the ground.

Faber is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Blisner has Faber pulled in close to control his posture. Blisner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blisner is on top in guard.
Kirk Blisner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Faber throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Blisner is working Faber over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kirk Blisner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Blisner tries to free his leg and advance position but Faber is retaining full guard. Blisner advances position into side control! Blisner stands up and beckons Faber to his feet. Kirk Blisner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blisner gets a clinch. Chris Faber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Blisner has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Faber uses from the top position. Blisner controlling the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Kirk Blisner showed his dominance in that final round. Well Blisner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
