Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spider Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spider Rico! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duncan Macintosh! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rico tries to score a power double leg takedown but Macintosh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rico somewhat. Macintosh moves into range and connects with a jab. Rico closes this distance looking for a takedown but Macintosh circles away. Macintosh lunges at Rico with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rico's hand. Macintosh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rico looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Macintosh lands a lovely overhand right. Macintosh lands a nice hook to Rico's body. Rico takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Macintosh lands a head shot. Rico takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Spider Rico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rico wants to clinch up but Macintosh keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macintosh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rico. Macintosh lunges at Rico with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rico's hand. Duncan Macintosh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Macintosh closes the distance and clinches. Rico's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rico's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Macintosh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rico scrambles back to his feet. Rico uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Macintosh.
Macintosh checks the leg kick nicely there.
Rico sets himself, and Macintosh steps forward looking for the clinch! Rico avoids it this time. Rico closes this distance looking for a takedown but Macintosh circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spider Rico. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rico takes a shot right to the bread basket. Rico tries to clinch but Macintosh moves out of range. Rico shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Macintosh pinned against the cage. Macintosh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macintosh stuffs the takedown attempt from Rico. Rico gets slowly back to his feet. Macintosh instigates a clinch. Rico is looking to take this one to the mat. A short right from Macintosh. This has been an exciting period of action! Macintosh lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rico or not. Macintosh tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Rico's elbow. Macintosh doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A nice right hand lands inside from Macintosh. Macintosh is pushing Rico up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Macintosh throws a head punch that misses. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Macintosh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macintosh misses with a hook from the clinch. Macintosh working aggressively here.

Macintosh misses with a hook from the clinch. Macintosh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rico walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Rico walks into a left hand. Nice sprawl there from Macintosh as Rico shoots in. Macintosh connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Rico misses with a jab to the body
and Macintosh cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Macintosh closes the distance and clinches. Macintosh lands an uppercut. Macintosh tries a body shot but Rico blocks it.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Macintosh working aggressively here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Macintosh. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Macintosh pushes Rico back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Rico gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Rico drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rico seems to have locked his on tight now - Macintosh screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rico, as he picks up the win!
