Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Knee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Ring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Knee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
40 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Ring! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Ring misses the target. Ring gets off balance looking for a body kick and Knee counters with a solid body kick. Ring takes a body punch but keeps moving. Knee walks into a straight right hand from Ring. Knee misses with a low kick.
Ring wants to counter the offense by Knee and move into the clinch position. Knee misses the shot to the body. Ring misses with a body kick. An attempted straight right counter from Knee misses the target. Ring tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Knee wants to clinch up but Ring keeps it at a distance. Ring throws a leg kick but Knee checks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ring tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knee paws at him with a jab and circles away. Knee shoots in for a takedown but Ring shows good takedown defense. Knee lands a head kick!
Ring misses with a combination
and Knee counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jeremy Ring seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ring tries a head kick but it misses.
Ring throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Knee is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Knee looking to score a takedown here. Ring is defending well but Knee drives through and ends up in Ring's guard. Ring is looking to stand back up but Knee counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ring. Ring is staying active underneath Knee, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Knee trying to pass the guard but Ring defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knee working over Ring with some ground and pound. Ring looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ring makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Knee slips a straight right by Ring. Ring gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Knee to score an easy takedown into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Knee working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Knee works over Ring with some ground and pound from guard. Knee looking to pass the guard. Ring wants to stand up but Knee is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ring working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Knee. Knee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Knee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ring is keeping the position for now. Knee postures up in Ring's guard and throws a big left but Ring blocks it. Knee trying to control the position from guard on top but Ring is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knee won't allow Ring to get back to his feet. Ring has momentary wrist control but Knee slips an elbow through the middle. Knee wants to control from the top but Ring keeps moving. Knee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ring is trying to control the position but Knee postures up. Knee is looking to work some ground and pound but Ring has wrist control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ring is controlling Knee's posture.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ring throws a hook but Knee avoids it easily. Knee is looking to land body kicks. Ring pushes Knee away with a front kick. Knee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Knee avoids a kick to the body.
Knee was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Knee takes a shot right to the bread basket. Ring connects with an inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Knee will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ring tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Ring. Knee drives through with a takedown into guard. Knee stops Ring from standing up. Knee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Knee stays in close to Ring's body and controls the position. Bruce Knee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ring kicks Knee off and gets to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ring moves away from the strike by Knee. Knee closes the distance and clinches up with Ring, looking for a takedown. Knee pushes Ring against the cage but Ring circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ring is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Knee is looking for a counter combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knee connects with a leg kick. Ring looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Ring throws a right and a left that both miss. It appears Knee was looking to counter with a kick there. Jeremy Ring is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Knee takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Knee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ring uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Knee. Knee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ring pinned against the cage. Ring gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ring throws a sloppy head kick and Knee moves out of range easily. Knee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ring pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A jab from Ring misses. Knee appears to be looking for a big counter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ring moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ring swinging wildly here.
Ring misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ring is looking to chop away at Knee's legs. Knee misses with a wild body shot. Knee is looking to wear down Ring with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Ring tries a head kick but it misses.
Ring goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ring misses with a head kick.
Knee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Knee seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knee looks to land a strike but Ring avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Knee landing some decent shots from guard. Ring keeping moving, preventing Knee from controlling successfully. Ring wants to get back to his feet but Knee is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Knee working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ring's head. Knee trying to control the position from guard on top but Ring is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knee throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Knee makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Knee working some strikes from top position. Knee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Knee throws a big right hand that misses. Knee passes Ring's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Knee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ring blocking the ground and pound attempt from Knee. Ring tries to kick Knee off but Knee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Knee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ring with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jeremy Ring will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Knee counters with a stiff right hand. Knee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Knee tries a head kick but it misses.
Knee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ring.

Knee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Knee sets himself, and Ring steps forward looking for the clinch! Knee avoids it this time. Ring scores with a hook to the body. Knee takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ring swinging wildly here.
Knee moves out of range of the body kick. Knee thinks about countering with a head kick. Ring misses with a body shot.
It looked like Knee was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ring lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Ring throws a body kick that misses. Knee swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Knee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knee distracts Ring with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Knee controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ring keeping moving, preventing Knee from controlling successfully. Knee throws an elbow that misses. Ring uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Knee's guard. Nice move by Ring! Knee is trying to control the position but Ring postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ring gets to his feet. Knee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Knee looks for a takedown but Ring sprawls well. Knee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ring manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ring wants to stand and escape but Knee is having none of it. Knee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ring works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ring keeping full guard, as Knee tries to pass. Knee landing some decent shots from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ring is looking to stand up but Knee isn't so interested in that idea. Ring is looking to stand back up but Knee counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ring. Ring pushes Knee off looking to stand but Knee dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knee thows a huge punch but Ring dodges it nicely.
Ring tries to kick Knee off but Knee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ring taking some punishment here, with Knee in his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jeremy Ring. I think Ring has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
