Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Credible (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Askari Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Credible stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Credible lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Credible dodges the punch combination from Volkov.
Volkov tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Credible makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Volkov shoots and misses
and Credible cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Volkov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Volkov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Volkov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Credible parries the strikes from Volkov easily there. Volkov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Credible to escape.
Volkov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
