Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robert Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Tran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Long! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long moves in looking to clinch but Tran pushes him off. Tran shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Long manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Tran is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Tran wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving. Tran tries to free his leg and advance position but Long is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tran scoring with punches to the head and body. Tran drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Long dives on top into guard. Tran working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tran working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Long doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Long manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tran is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tran distracts Long with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Long trying to keep a closed guard but Tran is proving a slippery customer.
Tran wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving. Tran lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tran wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving. Tran makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tran working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Long's head. Tran connects with a couple of short punches. Tran lands a couple of decent looking shots. Tran wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving. Tran content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tran wants to pass the guard but Long is keeping the position. Tran makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Long keeping moving, preventing Tran from controlling successfully. Tran forces his way into half guard. Tran has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tran trying to control the action but Long is working from the bottom. Tran moves nicely into side control. Tran working the ground and pound. Tran working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Long on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Tran is working Long over with some ground and pound from side control.
Long is rocked! Tran crunches a massive hammerfist down on Long - he's out! Tran Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Robert Tran! After the fight, Robert Tran was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
