Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eigi Takagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dem Nutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takagi comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to the Jungle. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takagi dives in and scores a takedown into Nutz's guard.
Takagi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Takagi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Takagi cracks Nutz with a big elbow.

Takagi lands a decent elbow from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takagi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nutz sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Takagi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nutz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ground and pound from Takagi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
