Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jere Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miki Boruta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jere Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Miki Boruta!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Boruta does no damage.
It looked like Henry was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Boruta scores with a jab to the body.
Boruta throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Boruta misses with a few strikes there.

Boruta feints and then cracks Henry's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Henry down.

and Henry counters with a shoot takedown. Boruta fights it but they end up in guard.

As Boruta looks to move away, Henry throws a big counter combo but Boruta just gets out of the way.
Miki Boruta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boruta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Henry really is a fat lump.

Henry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boruta's waist but Boruta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henry off to one side.

Boruta dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Henry. That did some damage!

Boruta has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Henry is trying to keep an underhook but Boruta manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Henry wants to improve his position but Boruta is controlling well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boruta is stalling here. Henry is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Boruta seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Henry has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jere Henry will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
