Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Neil Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Henry will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neil Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Henry! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henry fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Henry misses with a series of wild punches.
Diaz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Diaz lands a right hand. Henry is trying to force a seperation but Diaz has the dominant position. Diaz has a couple of punches blocked by Henry.
A frustrated look appears on Henry's face as he tries to break the clinch. Diaz misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Henry is trying to stall.

Still in the clinch, Diaz scores with a nice short uppercut. Diaz pushes Henry back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Henry is trying to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henry blocks an uppercut.

Henry scores with a hook to the body. Diaz misses with a short punch on the inside. Henry trying to control the position but instead, Diaz has worked for underhooks and has pushed Henry into the cage. Diaz lands on the inside with an uppercut. Henry goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Diaz presses Henry against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A short right hand to the side of the head by Diaz. Diaz prevents a body shot from Henry. Diaz scores with a shoulder strike. Diaz struggles to land a body shot inside as Henry controls his hands.
Henry tries to work over Diaz's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Henry has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Diaz lands an uppercut. Diaz working aggressively here.
Diaz has Henry pressed against the cage, preventing Henry from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Henry swings wildly with an uppercut but Diaz uses good head movement to avoid it. A head punch on the inside from Diaz fails to land. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diaz misses with the head strike.
Diaz prevents Henry from breaking the clinch. Henry is trying to maintain a safe position but Diaz gets an underhook and turns Henry into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice right hand lands inside from Diaz. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Diaz swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Henry is rocked!
It looks like Michael Henry has been cut. Diaz lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Diaz digs a right hand underneath Henry's ribcage. Henry let out a lung full of air as it connected. Diaz pushes Henry back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Henry misses with a hook to the ribs.

Diaz lands on the inside with an uppercut. Henry is still on wobbly legs! Can Diaz finish him? Henry is trying to push Diaz away but Diaz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Diaz dips a shoulder and cracks Henry with a mighty uppercut! Henry falls back against the cage and Diaz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Henry is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Diaz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neil Diaz! Neil Diaz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
