Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Torres Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royce Gracie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres Jr throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Torres Jr throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.
Torres Jr fails in his attempt to clinch.
Torres Jr misses with a few strikes there.
Torres Jr fails to land the takedown.
Torres Jr moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Torres Jr misses with the combination.
Torres Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Gracie sprawls well. He's pushed Torres Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Torres Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Some bone on bone action there as Gracie checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Torres Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Torres Jr.

Torres Jr misses with a two punch combination.

Torres Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Torres Jr off to one side.
Royce Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Torres Jr.

Torres Jr gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Torres Jr is looking to stand back up but Gracie counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Torres Jr.
Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Torres Jr wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Gracie wants to pass to mount but Torres Jr is defending the position.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Torres Jr has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gracie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Torres Jr wants to get back to full guard but Gracie has mounted him!
Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Torres Jr is looking to escape.
Torres Jr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie.

so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Torres Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Torres Jr knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Torres Jr for a finish.
Gracie is riding his opponent, not letting Torres Jr buck him off.

Torres Jr manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Torres Jr throws a nice looking combination but Gracie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Torres Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Torres Jr is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gracie defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Well Gracie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
