The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavanta shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Geng pinned against the cage. Geng gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lavanta doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Geng connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Geng with a nice cross.
Geng lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Good exchange - Geng coming out on top.
Geng is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Lavanta shoots and misses
and Geng counters with a nice body shot.
Sergey Geng has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Lavanta.
Lavanta misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Geng walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Lavanta drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Geng swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lavanta's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
