Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between San Sanich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asharad Hett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Asharad Hett!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hett jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sanich showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hett.
San Sanich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanich throws a hook to the side of Hett's head but Hett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hett has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hett displaying some good clinch control by pressing Sanich up against the cage.
Hett gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sanich regains guard.
Sanich is pulling down on Hett's head. It's preventing any offense from Hett, at least for the moment.
Hett throws an elbow that misses. Sanich uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hett's guard. Nice move by Sanich!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanich with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sanich wants to control from the top but Hett keeps moving.

Hett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Our spies down at at White's ELITE Fitness Gym inform us that Hett has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Hett wants to sweep here but Sanich controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanich throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hett works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sanich throws a big right hand that misses.
Sanich won't allow Hett to sweep him here.
Hett is trying to keep Sanich in close.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hett scores with a takedown into Sanich's guard.
Sanich is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sanich landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hett tries to get to full guard but Sanich has control of the leg.

Sanich stops Hett from getting back to his feet.
Sanich looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hett tries to roll over but Sanich keeps him under control.
Hett is trying to maintain the position but Sanich is very close to passing his half guard.
Sanich missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Sanich passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanich misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Sanich lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Sanich sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Hett sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Hett tries to kick Sanich off but Sanich keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sanich is trying to control the action in half guard but Hett is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sanich thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hett tries to roll over but Sanich keeps him under control.
Sanich is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
San Sanich dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hett moves out of range as Sanich strikes.
Hett throws a right and a left that Sanich avoids nicely.
Hett cracks Sanich with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sanich throws a right hand that Hett ducks under and follows up with a left that Hett also avoids with ease.
Hett tries to clinch but Sanich moves out of range.
Hett scores with the left hand. Sanich knows he should have avoided that one.
Hett throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sanich was covering up waiting for the punch and Hett finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hett must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sanich is trying to keep Hett in close.

Sanich has his feet on Hett's thighs here. He's pushed Hett off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hett screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
