Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Damien Hellsfyre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sunny Day! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day misses with a looping right. Hellsfyre throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Day tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hellsfyre is in Day's guard. Hellsfyre with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hellsfyre controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hellsfyre lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hellsfyre trying to control the position from guard on top but Day is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hellsfyre is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Day is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hellsfyre is aware though and is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hellsfyre stacks Day on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hellsfyre! Hellsfyre working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hellsfyre lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hellsfyre controls the position. Hellsfyre trying to control the action but Day is working from the bottom. Hellsfyre landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Day seems a little lost for a moment, as Hellsfyre dominates the positioning. Day struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hellsfyre is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Day has escaped the position, nice work there. Day really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hellsfyre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hellsfyre slows the pace down. Day gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day tries to control the position but Hellsfyre now has his back.
Day is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Hellsfyre is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Day is defending well though. Hellsfyre let's go of the attempt for now. Hellsfyre avoiding Day 's attempts to control his hands. Hellsfyre is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Day. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Day rolls, trying to escape but Hellsfyre keeps control of the position.

Hellsfyre looking to break Day's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Day remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hellsfyre will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Day trying to control the hands but Hellsfyre won't let him.

Day is trying to remain composed but Hellsfyre is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Day looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Hellsfyre looking for the RNC. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Day is in bad spot here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hellsfyre trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Day doesn't escape. Hellsfyre has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Day is defending well but eventually Hellsfyre manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Day has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
