PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Railgun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ronald Railgun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Justin Time!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Time stuffs the takedown attempt from Railgun. Railgun gets slowly back to his feet.
Railgun shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Time counters with a three punch combo that has Railgun backing up. Railgun nods at Time to acknowledge the strikes.
Time looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Time connects with a body shot that sends Railgun's belly button to the back.
A nice combination there by Time.
Time cracks Railgun with a right hand to the side of the head.
Railgun takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Time changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Time throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Railgun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronald Railgun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Railgun takes a shot right to the bread basket.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Time's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Time duly obliges.
Sloppy strikes from Time. Those never looked like landing.
Time stuns Railgun with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Justin Time seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Time takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Railgun has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Time finds it's way round the side to connect with Railgun's head.
Time stuns Railgun with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Railgun takes one to the chin there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Time misses with a two punch combination.
Railgun gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Time counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Railgun with a poor takedown
and Time counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Time tries to bum rush Railgun with a series of wild strikes but Railgun uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Time throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Time lands a head shot.
Nice uppercut there from Time.
Railgun misses with a takedown attempt
and Time cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Time misses with a double jab

and Railgun counters with a nice double leg into side control. Time won't be happy with that.
Time regains half guard there - taking advantage of Railgun's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Railgun is working for a kimura but Time is defending it quite comfortably.
Time is trying to stand back up but Railgun is controlling him

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Railgun is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Railgun prevents Time from improving his position.

Railgun is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Time tries to roll over but Railgun keeps him under control.
Railgun trying to pass the guard but Time defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Railgun has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Time defend it? Railgun steps over the head and cranks it - Time is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Railgun!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ronald Railgun!
