Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Emelianenko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice combo by MonRoe! Oh, that's hurt him - Emelianenko falls to the canvas and MonRoe follows him into side control.
Emelianenko is rocked!
It looks like Filipe Emelianenko has been cut.
Emelianenko prevents MonRoe from improving position.
Emelianenko can't do much from the bottom here.
The strikes coming from MonRoe are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
MonRoe is staying tight to Emelianenko's torso, preventing him from escaping.
MonRoe is looking to take a break and control but Emelianenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

MonRoe moves in looking to clinch but Emelianenko pushes him off.
Emelianenko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but MonRoe swivels and escapes.

MonRoe tries to close the distance and clinch but Emelianenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Emelianenko fails with the takedown.
Emelianenko is breathing heavily.
MonRoe tries to clinch up.
MonRoe wants to clinch up but Emelianenko keeps it at a distance.
MonRoe lands a jab-cross combination.
A nice inside leg kick there by MonRoe. That's going to slow Emelianenko down.

Filipe Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emelianenko shoots in looking for a takedown. MonRoe tries to sprawl out of it but Emelianenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. MonRoe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Emelianenko swats away the attempt to clinch by MonRoe.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Emelianenko. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
MonRoe clinches up with Emelianenko and pushes him back against the cage.
MonRoe misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Emelianenko.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, MonRoe creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
MonRoe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
MonRoe lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
MonRoe cracks Emelianenko with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. MonRoe has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Emelianenko to stand back up!
Oh Emelianenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Emelianenko bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! MonRoe comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Emelianenko falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Emelianenko was out before he hit the floor!
