Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Kirilenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Riviera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riviera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dirty hous' - Rohff kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Cain Riviera is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cain Riviera!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirilenko shoots in for a double leg but Riviera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kirilenko avoids the body shot from Riviera.
Both fighters circling a little - Riviera finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kirilenko shoots in but no luck this time.
Riviera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Riviera shoots for a double leg takedown but Kirilenko sprawls well. He's pushed Riviera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kirilenko ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kirilenko no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Riviera wants to control from the top but Kirilenko keeps moving.

Kirilenko is working an open guard so Riviera takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Riviera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kirilenko.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kirilenko is looking to control Riviera's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kirilenko avoid being mounted?
Riviera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kirilenko keeps working.
Riviera tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kirilenko knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kirilenko wants to control but Riviera is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Riviera is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kirilenko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Riviera.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Riviera wants to get back to striking at distance but Kirilenko won't allow it.

Kirilenko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Riviera pulls his leg out and moves away.

Cain Riviera is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Riviera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kirilenko tries to avoid it but Riviera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kirilenko to the ground. Kirilenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alexander Kirilenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cain Riviera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Riviera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
