Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baron Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baron Brady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brady is defended easily by Diaz.
Brady goes for a double leg but Diaz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Diaz continues to drive forward.
Diaz tries to counter with a clinch but Brady shakes him off and moves away.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Baron Brady. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Brady is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Brady lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Brady throws a big right hand that misses.
Diaz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Brady wants to get up but he can't break Diaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brady's guard.

Diaz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Diaz pulls Brady in close to his closed guard and prevents Brady from doing any damage or advancing position.

Brady thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Brady stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Diaz is adopting a defensive guard.
Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Diaz tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Brady drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Diaz dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brady is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Diaz is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Diaz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brady is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brady has escaped and now he's on top!

Diaz looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Baron Brady will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Diaz wants to clinch.
Brady slaps away a takedown attempt from Diaz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brady looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Brady fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Diaz to the ground. Brady is now in Diaz's guard.

Brady loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Brady will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Brady is fighting to break Diaz's control of his arms but Diaz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Brady throws a sloppy strike and Diaz has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Brady is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Diaz!
