Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pizza Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rein Stolte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pizza Slice looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pizza Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rein Stolte!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stolte moves in looking to clinch but Slice pushes him off.
Slice shoots in for a double leg but Stolte sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stolte tries to clinch up.

Slice has managed to clinch.

Stolte escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stolte tries to clinch but Slice moves away
and Slice counters with a two punch combo.
Rein Stolte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stolte shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Stolte won't allow Slice to sweep him here.
Stolte wants to stand and escape but instead Slice has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Slice won't allow Stolte to get back to his feet.
Stolte can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Slice controls the pace.

Stolte wants to improve his position but instead Slice has moved into half guard.

Stolte is not content to let Slice control the position.
Stolte looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slice is pressing down on Stolte's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stolte is holding on for now.
Stolte looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stolte shoots in for a double leg but Slice sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Slice fails with the takedown.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

and Slice counters with a series of strikes. Stolte will be more careful next time no doubt.

Stolte fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Pizza Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rein Stolte.

and Slice counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Stolte counters with a shoot takedown. Slice fights it but they end up in guard.
Stolte tries to stand but Slice is controlling from the bottom.
Stolteis looking to pass into half guard but Slice pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Slice is in guard.

Slice thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Stolte manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stolte misses with a head shot.
Slice regains half guard.

Slice is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Stolte pulls his head out easily.
Stolte tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Stolte working the head and body with strikes.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stolte connects with a nice short shot to Slice's temple.
Slice has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stolte is working away from the top position though.

Stolte gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stolte closes the distance and clinches up with Slice, looking for a takedown. Stolte pushes Slice against the cage but Slice circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Rein Stolte will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Slice lands a two punch combo.
Pizza Slice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Slice shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stolte but Stolte pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stolte throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Pizza Slice has been cut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Slice checks a leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Slice as Stolte shoots in.
Stolte looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Slice is fending him off so far but Stolte persists. Nope, Slice circles away and we're back to standing.
Slice wants to clinch.
Stolte misses with a double jab

and Slice moves into the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Slice.
Stolte lands a shoulder strike.

Slice wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Stolte tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Slice tries to land knees in the clinch but Stolte avoids the damage to the body.
Slice fails to pull guard.
Stolte is trying to drag Slice to the mat but Slice just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pizza Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rein Stolte.
Slice wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stolte is trying to trip Slice. He has hold of a leg but Slice is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Stolte persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Stolte drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Slice dives on top into guard.
Stolte will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Slice tries to free his leg and advance position but Stolte is retaining full guard.

Stolte has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slice can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stolte looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Slice has picked Stolte up and slammed him! Stolte can't keep hold of the triangle and Slice manages to pass to side control!

Slice decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Stolte shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Stolte missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Slice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stolte trying to move into half guard but instead Slice has managed to sweep!

Stolte wants to get back to his feet but Slice is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Stolte looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Stolte looking for a guillotine here but Slice defends easily.
Stolte is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Stolte working for submissions but it's allowed Slice to get to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Still in half guard, Slice seems content to control.
Stolte missing with punches from the bottom.

Stolte has one foot on Slice's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Slice uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stolte.
Stolte stuffs the takedown attempt from Slice. Slice gets slowly back to his feet.
Slice shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stolte as he jumps to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rein Stolte showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Pizza Slice's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Stolte looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Slice shoots and misses
and Slice takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stolte closes the distance but Slice moves to the side
and Slice counters with a stiff right hand.
Stolte shoots in but no luck this time.

Slice forces Stolte back against the cage and clinches.
Slice tries to break the clinch but Stolte is controlling the position.
Stolte tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slice is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Stolte breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stolte keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Stolte closes the distance and clinches up with Slice, looking for a takedown. Stolte pushes Slice against the cage but Slice circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Stolte shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slice pinned against the cage. Slice gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Stolte throws a right and a left that Slice avoids nicely.
Stolte shoots for a double leg takedown but Slice sprawls well. He's pushed Stolte's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stolte avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stolte tries to clinch

and Slice counters by moving into the clinch.
Stolte tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Slice has had enough of the clinch but Stolte keeps him there for the moment.
Slice drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stolte pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stolte is looking to clinch but Slice is avoiding it.
Slice misses with a wild combination.
Stolte tries to clinch up
and Slice counters with a series of strikes. Stolte will be more careful next time no doubt.
Slice is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Slice shoots for a takedown but Stolte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stolte shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slice as he avoids it easily.
Slice shoots in looking for a takedown. Stolte tries to sprawl out of it but Slice keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stolte manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Slice scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Stolte fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Stolte darts in trying to clinch
and Slice counters with a lovely shot to the body.
No luck for Stolte with that takedown attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Slice misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slice.

The referee warns Slice that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Slice is trying to escape the mount.
Pizza Slice has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rein Stolte is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stolte wants to control the pace but Slice is squirming around nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rein Stolte comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Stolte winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
