13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Pondingham! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pondingham swats away the attempt to clinch by Sundwarrama. Sundwarrama closes the distance and clinches. The referee calls for Sundwarrama to work.
A nice left hand lands by Pondingham.
Sundwarrama tries to throw a body punch but Pondingham avoids it by throwing Sundwarrama back against the cage. Pondingham misses with the head strike.
Pondingham swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Pondingham blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sundwarrama tries a body shot but Pondingham blocks it.
Sundwarrama tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pondingham's elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sundwarrama misses with a punch to the body.
Pondingham throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Pondingham breaks the clinch.
Sundwarrama misses with the body kick and Pondingham counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Aawut Sundwarrama has been cut. Pondingham scores with a spinning back kick! Pondingham fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sundwarrama manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pondingham misses with a two punch combination.
Sundwarrama just misses with a punch to the body.
Pondingham lands an overhand right. Sundwarrama looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Pondingham moves out of range of the body kick. Pondingham connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Sundwarrama steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pondingham. Sundwarrama is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Pondingham swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sundwarrama tried to counter with a leg kick but Pondingham avoided it. Pondingham misses the jab. Good exchange - Pondingham coming out on top. Pondingham fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sundwarrama looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Pondingham lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Sundwarrama falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
