Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rock Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've been hearing reports that Allen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Allen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Allen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jackson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jackson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Allen moves out of range as Jackson strikes.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson works the jab nicely.


It looks like Rock Allen has been cut.
Allen slips under a jab.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson misses with a hook.
Jackson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Jackson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Allen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rock Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Allen moves out of range as Jackson strikes.
Allen scores with a head kick. Jackson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Allen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson.
Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Allen!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Allen fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jackson is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Allen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Allen tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jackson manages to circle out of the way.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Allen drops his hands momentarily and Jackson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


Allen is rocked!
Jackson drops Allen with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Allen! Jackson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joseph Jackson!
A very excited looking Joseph Jackson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
