Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Troy Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Powers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rock Allen!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers throws a nice outside leg kick.
Powers throws a looping overhand right but Allen ducks down to avoid it.
Powers swings for the body but Allen moves out of range.
We've been told by Powers's head coaches at Head Hunter that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Allen moves into the clinch.
Allen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A short right from Powers.
Powers presses Allen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Allen tries to stall but Powers uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Allen is trying to pull guard but Powers has him pressed against the cage.
Allen tries to score a body lock takedown but Powers shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Troy Powers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Allen.
Powers working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Powers is defending well against a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Powers prevents it.
Allen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Still in the clinch, Powers scores with a nice short uppercut.
Allen manages to break the clinch.
Jab, jab by Powers - just one landing.
Allen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Powers throws a body punch but Allen moves out of range.
Powers takes a swing at Allen's ribcage but misses.
Allen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Powers.
Powers lands with a shot to the body.
Allen tries to clinch there but Powers circles away.

Allen avoids the body shot from Powers.
Allen has closed the distance and engaged Powers in a clinch.
Powers lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Allen backwards.
Allen can't get the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Allen breaks from the clinch.
Allen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Powers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice uppercut there from Powers.
It looks like Rock Allen has been cut.
Powers with a hook.
Allen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Powers.
Powers is looking to wear down Allen with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Powers swats away the attempt to clinch by Allen.
Powers lands a really nice looking cross but Allen seems unphased.
Allen is rocked!
Allen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Powers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Allen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Powers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And Allen tries to counter it with a takedown but Powers pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Powers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Allen is still on wobbly legs! Can Powers finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Powers digs a good hook to Allen's body.
Allen seems to have recovered his senses.
Powers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Allen was well out of range. Poor timing from Powers.
Powers connects with a single shot there.
Powers lands with a thumping leg kick.
