Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan Banan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Schmitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmitt has chosen In God We Trust as his entrance music. Jan Banan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Schmitt!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmitt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Banan tries to avoid it but Schmitt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Banan to the ground. Banan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Banan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Schmitt paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No luck for Schmitt with that takedown attempt.

Banan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Schmitt.

Schmitt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Schmitt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Schmitt shoots for a double leg takedown but Banan sprawls well. He's pushed Schmitt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Schmitt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Schmitt showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
