The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liguy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Joyner to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Liguy keeping moving, preventing Joyner from controlling successfully.
Joyner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liguy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Joyner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Liguy wants to sweep here but Joyner controlling him for the moment.
Liguy is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joyner decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Liguy, up you get!
Liguy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Joyner tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Liguy is in Joyner's guard.
