Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Jonathan Pridham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Monte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pridham comes into the arena with Tamale- Tyler, the Creator blaring out of the sound system. Jonathan Pridham has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonathan Pridham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Monte! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pridham checks a leg kick. Monte wants to slow Pridham down by chopping away at his legs. Monte throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Monte throws a sloppy head kick and Pridham moves out of range easily. Pridham tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Pridham takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Monte thows a leg kick but Pridham checks it and Pridham counters by clinching up. Monte is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Monte can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pridham breaks the clinch.
Pridham checks a leg kick. Pridham seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Monte's coach down at LOD: Club Pain was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Monte's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Monte tries a head kick but it misses.
Pridham went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Pridham gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pridham breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pridham looks to clinch and Monte counters with a nice uppercut. Monte scores with a nice strike. Monte cracks Pridham with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Monte swings away with a leg kick that misses. Pridham appears to be looking for a big counter. Monte lands with a cross. Monte lands with a right hand. Pridham closes the distance and clinches. Monte has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Monte working some nice short punches in the clinch. Pridham tries to land a knee to the head but Monte blocks with his arms.
Monte is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pridham blocking some punches.
Monte swings wildly with an uppercut but Pridham uses good head movement to avoid it. Monte is looking to break free of the clinch but Pridham has double underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monte working hard to break the clinch. Monte fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pridham throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Monte blocks it with crossed arms. Pridham stalling in the clinch but Monte improves position. Pridham keeps control of Monte as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Pridham pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Monte scoring well with a low kick there.
Monte throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Monte throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Pridham is rocked! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Monte.
Oh Pridham is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Pridham drops his guard momentarily, allowing Monte to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Pridham! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Monte takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Mick Monte! An out of breath Mick Monte thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. The defeated Jonathan Pridham had this to say: 'well I tried'.
