Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Fletcher Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenshi Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenshi Suzuki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Fletcher Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenshi Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson lands with a kick to the temple. Suzuki shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Suzuki manages to pass to side control. Johnson trying to hold on to Suzuki's head to control him but Suzuki postures up.
Suzuki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Suzuki working over Johnson with some ground and pound. Johnson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Suzuki seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
It looks like Joe Fletcher Johnson has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson is staying active underneath Suzuki, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson has hold of Suzuki's hands but Suzuki slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Joe Fletcher Johnson's cut is getting worse. Johnson is not content to let Suzuki control the position. Nice strikes from Suzuki there.
