Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Junior Lewis! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Lewis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard. Lewis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lewis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jones has his foot on Lewis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lewis works his way back into a safe position though. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Lewis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Lewis wants to free his trapped foot but Jones is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jones wants to get back to full guard. Jones is working hard here to advance position. Lewis tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jones wants to improve his position but Lewis is controlling well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lewis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Lewis persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Jimmy Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Lewis. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lewis scores a takedown into full mount! Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lewis has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis is going olschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jones is working to get back to half guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lewis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jones has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Lewis has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lewis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape. Lewis working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up. Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jones gets back to half guard. Lewis is trying to control the action in half guard but Jones is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lewis wants to pass to mount but Jones is defending the position. Lewis is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lewis to get the leverage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lewis passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Jones stands and throws Lewis's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lewis, who protects the arm well. Lewis gets back to half guard. Lewis makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lewis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones won't allow Lewis to sweep him here. Jones passes Lewis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lewis tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Lewis gets full guard. Lewis keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lewis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lewis has escaped and now he's on top! Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lewis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lewis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lewis is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Lewis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lewis can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Lewis defends the submission attempt. Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
