PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rage Parade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Parade's choice of entrance music: I KILL Cause I'm Hungry. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rage Parade!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Parade sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Parade drives through and clinches with Brown against the cage.
Brown has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Parade avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Parade scores with a nice hook to the head.
Brown goes for a takedown attempt but Parade pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Brown gets control of Parade's arms and successfully pulls guard. Brown will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brown is working for an americana but Parade has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Brown was thinking about the submission.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Parade is retaining full guard.
Parade seems keen to control Brown's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Parade is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Brown won't allow Parade to sweep him here.

Brown postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Parade is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brown, into his guard.

Parade controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Brown looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Parade wants to stand but Brown has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Parade gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Parade fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brown, pushing him back against the cage.

Brown has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Parade after a bit of a struggle.

Parade escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Brown gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Parade counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Parade defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brown.
It seemed like Parade was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Parade scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Parade shows good takedown defense.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Parade sprawls well. Parade wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.

Brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Parade pulls his leg out and moves away.

Brown is trying to drag Parade to the mat but Parade just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Brown is trying to break the clinch but Parade has him pressed against the cage.
Brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Parade pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brown closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parade circles away.
Parade is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Parade cracks Brown with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Parade has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brown to stand back up!

Brown is rocked!
Brown takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Parade circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Brown tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Parade wins by KO!

After the fight, Rage Parade was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
