Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Emerson Long! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joshua Stephens! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long thows a leg kick but Stephens checks it and Stephens holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Stephens gets a trip takedown into half guard. Long tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Stephens manages to move to mount!
Long really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stephens sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stephens throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Long because Stephens loaded up on that one. Stephens trying to control but Long is having none of it.

Stephens is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Long can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Long is working to get back to half guard.

Long will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stephens is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Long defends well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephens tightens his grip and picks Long up, before dumping him to the ground. Long manages to land in guard. Long is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Stephens takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Long is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Stephens trying to control the position but Long is working away.

Long tries to buck Stephens off but Stephens is having none of it. Emerson Long has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Joshua Stephens is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stephens is staying tight to Long's torso, preventing him from escaping.
