Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elmer Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Very Rounded!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rounded throws a sloppy head kick and Sharp moves out of range easily.
Rounded lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rounded.


It looks like Elmer Sharp has been cut.
Rounded moves out of range of the body kick from Sharp.

Rounded clinches.

Rounded has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sharp is trying to keep an underhook but Rounded manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Sharp is concentrating on defense, preventing Rounded from advancing position.

Sharp looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Sharp is positioning himself well to prevent Rounded advancing to mount.

Rounded is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sharp defends it well.
Sharp keeping control of the position.

Rounded trying to control the action but Sharp is working from the bottom.

Rounded is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sharp sees it coming and defends easily.
Sharp really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rounded darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Sharp is controlling Rounded's trapped leg to prevent Rounded from advancing to side control.
Sharp flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Sharp is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Rounded is looking to advance position but Sharp won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sharp looking for submissions off his back.

Rounded is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sharp is just riding it out for now. Rounded eventually gives up the hold.
Sharp keeping control of the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sharp motions for Rounded to come forward. Sharp throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Rounded has closed the distance and engaged Sharp in a clinch.

Rounded gets control of Sharp's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rounded will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Rounded being controlled here, momentarily.
Rounded is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sharp controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Very Rounded dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sharp throws a hook but Rounded blocks it.

Rounded clinches with his opponent.
Rounded gets underhooks to prevent Sharp's takedown attempt.
Sharp drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rounded gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sharp blocks a body shot from Rounded.
Rounded has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sharp as Rounded tries to tie him up.
Sharp is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elmer Sharp. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sharp pushes off an throws an elbow but Rounded leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Sharp has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rounded after a bit of a struggle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rounded taking a breather.
Sharp tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sharp is looking to take this one to the mat.
Rounded is trying to maintain a safe position but Sharp gets an underhook and turns Rounded into the cage.

Rounded decides to pull guard.

Rounded working for a triangle but Sharp defends it easily.
Rounded wants to stand but Sharp is controlling the position.

Rounded pushes a forearm under Sharp's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sharp is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Very Rounded!
