Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilboogie Bur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jochem Vermeer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vermeer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bur half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Vermeer scores with a nice right hand.
Vermeer with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Vermeer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bur avoids the body shot from Vermeer.
Vermeer misses with a body shot.
Bur tries a head kick but it misses.
Vermeer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bur with a body shot.
A jab from Vermeer does it's job there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vermeer cracks a nice hook into Bur's ribs.
Vermeer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bur moves away.

Vermeer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bur on the side of the head.
Vermeer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Bur fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Vermeer connects with a looping right hand.
Vermeer works the jab nicely.
Vermeer is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bur rather than just go for the knockout.
Vermeer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bur stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bur goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bur on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Bur drops his hands momentarily and Vermeer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Vermeer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bur manages to avoid it.

Vermeer stuns Bur with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Vermeer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bur was well out of range. Poor timing from Vermeer.

Vermeer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bur doesn't seem bothered though.
Vermeer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bur moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vermeer cracks Bur with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Vermeer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bur had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Vermeer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Vermeer lands a nice hook to Bur's body. Bur takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vermeer thuds his right hand into Bur's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bur ducks right into an uppercut from Vermeer.
Bur moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Vermeer lands a jab to the head.
Bur is rocked!
Bur takes one on the button.
Oh Bur is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vermeer lands a jab to the nose.
Vermeer cracks Bur with a hook to the temple - Bur is on wobbly legs here! Vermeer swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Bur falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Vermeer wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jochem Vermeer!
In his post fight interview, Jochem Vermeer started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
