Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Goldberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock comes to the cage accompanied by Venom's Theme. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Brock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Goldberg! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brock moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Brock lands a leg kick that knocks Goldberg off balance momentarily. Goldberg shoots for a double leg takedown but Brock sprawls well. He's pushed Goldberg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Goldberg with a lazy takedown attempt and Brock counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Bill Goldberg has been cut. Brock lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Brock, right into the meat.
Brock has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Brock bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Goldberg's head backwards. Goldberg stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brock. A solid leg kick lands there for Brock.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Goldberg is defended easily by Brock. Eddie Brock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Goldberg. Brock scoring well with a low kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brock gets caught napping as Goldberg dives in and scores a takedown. Brock manages to retain guard. Goldberg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brock is keeping the position for now. Brock looking to control.

Goldberg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Goldberg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Goldberg has managed to get both his arms back between Brock's legs - danger averted. Brock has his hands on Goldberg's head, controlling the position. Goldberg looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Brock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goldberg is one step ahead there. Brock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Brock is trying to control. Goldberg wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Brock wants to pass the guard but Goldberg is defending well. Brock is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brock wants to free his trapped foot but Goldberg is holding on for dear life with his legs. Brock prevents Goldberg from improving his position. Brock working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Goldberg's thigh. Goldberg counters though and makes it back to full guard. Goldberg keeping moving, preventing Brock from controlling successfully. Goldberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Brock showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Goldberg keeping moving, preventing Brock from controlling successfully. Goldberg being controlled here, momentarily. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Goldberg throws a series of punches but Brock avoids them all with ease. Goldberg drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brock sneaks back into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Goldberg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A right-left combo lands from Brock. Goldberg moves out of range of the body kick from Brock.
Goldberg tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brock defends well and Goldberg ends up having to push Brock into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Goldberg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brock defends it nicely. Eddie Brock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Goldberg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goldberg throws a sloppy head kick and Brock moves out of range easily. The fighters circle momentarily. Brock darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Brock is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Goldberg can do to turn this around? Brock jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Goldberg fails with a takedown attempt. Brock appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Brock. That's going to slow Goldberg down. Brock connects with an inside leg kick. Brock lunges at Goldberg with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Goldberg's hand. Nice takedown defense from Brock. No joy for Goldberg on that attempt. A head kick from Brock lands but Goldberg takes it in his stride. Good leg kick by Brock there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Goldberg misses with a takedown and Brock counters with a nice uppercut. Goldberg doesn't succeed with the takedown and Brock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A jab-cross combination lands for Brock and sends Goldberg crashing to the mat! Brock follows him down to the mat - Goldberg regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brock wants to work for an arm triangle but Goldberg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brock is really struggling to control Goldberg but he's trying to hold on to the position. Brock moves to the back position. Brock is looking for a rear naked choke here but Goldberg reverses the position brilliantly into Brock's guard!

Goldberg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Goldberg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Goldberg tries for a takedown but Brock circles away easily and Brock counters with a nice uppercut. Some wild striking there from Brock.
Brock throws a leg kick and Goldberg counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Brock manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Brock trying to keep a closed guard but Goldberg is proving a slippery customer.

Brock scores with a jab. Goldberg acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Goldberg walks into a jab. Brock throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Eddie Brock is winning the standup battle so far. Goldberg takes one to the side of the head.
Bill Goldberg has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brock lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
And that's the end of the fight! Eddie Brock showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brock has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
