Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ron Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Shot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Garner! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sebastian Shot! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shot pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Garner is defended easily by Shot. Shot misses with a right hand and Garner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Garner lands a couple of elbows. Shot being controlled here, momentarily. Shot is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Shot controlling Garner's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shot is looking for a triangle but Garner pushes his legs off easily.
Shot is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garner won't allow Shot to sweep him here. Garner trying to control the position from guard on top but Shot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shot bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Garner's guard. Garner is trying to keep Shot in close.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Garner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Shot scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Shot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shot has managed to get both his arms back between Garner's legs - danger averted. Shot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Shot's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Shot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shot has managed to get both his arms back between Garner's legs - danger averted. Shot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Garner keeping full guard, as Shot tries to pass. Shot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shot trying to control the position from guard on top but Garner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garner seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shot sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Garner's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shot lands a nice short elbow. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Shot is trying to control the action in half guard but Garner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Garner moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sebastian Shot will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Donk. Shot catches Garner right on the button with a cross. Garner swats away the attempt to clinch by Shot. Shot clinches up with Garner and pushes him back against the cage. Garner has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shot uses from the top position. Garner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shot is aware though and is defending well. Garner can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shot controls the pace. Garner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Garner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Shot is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Garner has his hands clasped together but Shot extends and breaks Garner's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Shot.

An out of breath Sebastian Shot thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
