Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Moonra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes into the arena with all of the lights blaring out of the sound system. Moonra has chosen Boombastic as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jacob Moonra enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Moonra! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moonra throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Thomas!
Thomas jabs Moonra right on the nose. Moonra blinks but takes it well. Moonra throws a lazy right hand but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Moonra wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Moonra throws a body shot but no joy. Moonra wants to clinch up but Thomas keeps it at a distance. Thomas changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Moonra wants to clinch up but Thomas keeps it at a distance. A chopping leg kick lands by Thomas. Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Moonra tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Moonra pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Moonra moves in looking to clinch but Thomas pushes him off. Moonra is looking to clinch but Thomas is avoiding it.
Thomas lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Thomas cracks Moonra with a right hand to the side of the head. Left hook, right uppercut from Thomas. Jacob Moonra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas circles away from the clinch attempt and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moonra's head. Moonra wants to get back to his feet.
Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Thomas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Thomas drops an elbow to the side of Moonra's head. Thomas is looking for a kimura but Moonra is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Thomas to get the leverage. Thomas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moonra's head. Thomas scoring with strikes to the body and head. Moonra blocking the ground and pound attempt from Thomas. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thomas connects with a nice short shot to Moonra's temple. Thomas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas content to control rather than advance. Moonra avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Thomas. Thomas controlling the action here. Thomas sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Moonra defending well though. Thomas with the ground and pound but Moonra uses the opportunity to regain guard. Thomas is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Thomas lands a couple of elbows. Thomas loads up on a big left hand. Moonra felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Thomas looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Moonra can't hide his disappointment, as Thomas celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Thomas! Our winner, Mike Thomas, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
