Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lucky Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucky Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bee Jay! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay instigates a clinch. Day lands with a short shot to the head. Day fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Day wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jay has him pressed against the cage. Jay stalling the fight.
Jay pressing his opponent against the cage. Day is trying to push Jay away but Jay has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. I was talking to Day's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Day misses with some punches.

A head punch on the inside from Day fails to land. Jay turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Day is trying to control Jay's posture but Jay avoids it. Day is trying to get back to half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jay working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jay wants to control but Day is keeping him busy. Day tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jay wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jay wants to control but Day is keeping him busy. Day is looking to regain half guard here but Jay keeps moving and retains side control. Jay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Day keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Day is trying to get back to half guard. Day sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jay has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jay controlling the pace for now. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Day can't escape the position.
Jay takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Day regains half guard. Jay wants to take a breather but Day is having none of it. Day is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Day actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Day actively working from the bottom here. Day looking for submissions off his back. Jay prevents Day from improving his position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Day trying to control but Jay postures up.
Jay moves into full mount! Day won't be happy about that! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Day is trying to control Jay's posture but Jay avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jay tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Day tries to reverse the position but Jay maintains control. Jay looking to control and managing it successfully. Day working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jay wants to control the pace but Day is squirming around nicely. Day is desperately trying to improve his position but Jay has a good base and remains in mount. Jay avoids the attempt from Day to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jay wants to take Day's back but he can't do it this time. Day wants to hold on but Jay pushes him away. Day is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jay is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Day working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jay jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Day manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jay is staying tight to Day's torso, preventing him from escaping. Day sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jay is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Day has managed to free his arm - good work. Jay is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Day defends it well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jay is trying to control the action in half guard but Day is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bee Jay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Day moves out of range of the body kick from Jay.
Day with a body punch. A glancing blow. Jay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Day fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jay avoids it really well and circles away. Day uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jay. Day misses with a looping right. Jay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Day throws out the jab. Day misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jay changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Day sprawls well initially but Jay persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Day looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Jay pushes past his half guard into mount! Jay controlling from the full mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jay wants to take Day's back but he can't do it this time. Jay moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Day has worked his arm free - good work by Day!
Day tries to bench press Jay off him but Jay keeps the position. Lucky Day has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Day is working hard here to advance position. Jay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Day keeps working. Day is looking for a sweep. Day can't do much from the bottom here. Jay controlling the position. Day is looking to regain half guard here but Jay keeps moving and retains side control. Jay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jay controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Day gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Jay takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Jay slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Jay looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jay looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jay!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jay wants to control but Day is keeping him busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Bee Jay comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jay winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
