Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gio Naza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Graham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graham rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Naza moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Graham fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Naza bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Graham dodges the ground and pound from Naza. Graham takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Naza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Naza creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Graham sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Naza wants to control but Graham is keeping him busy. Naza lands some shots froms side control. Naza content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Naza creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Naza looks up at the clock and then as Graham takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Naza smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Graham wants to get back to his feet. Graham really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Naza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Graham is working to avoid the ground and pound but Naza connects with a decent elbow. Naza wants to control but Graham is keeping him busy. Graham tries to improve position but can't. Naza cracks Graham with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Naza in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Naza wants to lay and pray for a moment but Graham keeps working. Naza cracks Graham with an elbow. That is naaassty. Naza happy to just control the position for now. Naza grinds an elbow into Graham's temple. Naza scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Graham to see if he's OK. Naza is putting a hurting on Graham here, landing some big shots from side control. Graham shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Naza counters with a takedown into side control. Naza moves into full mount! Graham is trying to escape the mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Naza cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Naza lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Gio Naza overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Naza trying to control but Graham is having none of it. Naza controlling the position easily from mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Naza landing punches. Naza landing punches. Naza scoring with strikes but Graham is staying in there. Graham is looking to get to half guard.

Naza can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Graham is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Graham looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Graham throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Naza. Naza checks the leg kick nicely there.
Naza takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Naza drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Naza throws a big right hand that misses. Naza lands a couple of decent looking shots. Naza won't allow Graham to get back to his feet. Naza lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Naza gets to his feet - Graham follows without any prompting. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A leg kick checked by Naza. Graham misses with a double jab.

Graham is staying active underneath Naza, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Naza seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Graham keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Graham tries to kick Naza off but Naza keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Brian Graham has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Naza with good strikes from the mount here! Naza is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Graham can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Naza lands a nice shot to the head. Naza pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The referee warns Graham that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Naza controlling the pace for now. Naza is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Graham can do to turn this around? Graham can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Gio Naza showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Naza, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
