Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Sullivan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Eddie Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong slaps away a takedown attempt from Sullivan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sullivan moves in looking to clinch but Armstrong pushes him off. Armstrong is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Armstrong throws out a powerful jab. Armstrong tries to keep at a distance but Sullivan has taken the fight into the clinch. Sullivan tries to land knees in the clinch but Armstrong avoids the damage to the body. Sullivan prevents a takedown attempt there.

Sullivan appears to be looking for a big counter. Sullivan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Armstrong changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Armstrong closes the distance and clinches up with Sullivan, looking for a takedown. Armstrong pushes Sullivan against the cage but Sullivan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sullivan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Armstrong is looking to clinch but Sullivan is avoiding it.
Armstrong has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sullivan is landing a low percentage of strikes. Sullivan fails in his attempt to clinch. Sullivan sets himself, and Armstrong steps forward looking for the clinch! Sullivan avoids it this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sullivan slips a jab from Armstrong. Armstrong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sullivan sprawls well initially but Armstrong persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sullivan has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Armstrong is on him like a limpet, forcing Sullivan back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sullivan breaks the clinch.
Armstrong darts in looking for a takedown but Sullivan gets double underhooks and turns Armstrong into the cage. Robert Sullivan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Armstrong. Armstrong has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan tries for a takedown but Armstrong manages to get underhooks.
Armstrong throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sullivans head. A bit of stalling here from Sullivan.
Sullivan leaning his opponent against the cage. Sullivan is trying to drag Armstrong to the mat but Armstrong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Armstrong gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sullivan wants to stand up but Armstrong is controlling him. Armstrong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Armstrong trying to control the position from guard on top but Sullivan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sullivan looking for a sweep. Not yet Sullivan, not yet. Armstrong passes Sullivan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Armstrong connects with a nice short shot to Sullivan's temple. Armstrong looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sullivan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Armstrong scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The fighters are battling for position here. Sullivan manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Armstrong wants to control from the top but Sullivan keeps moving. Armstrong landing with the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Armstrong keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sullivan's head. Armstrong landing some decent shots from guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Armstrong throws a big elbow that misses. Sullivan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sullivan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sullivan wants to stand but Armstrong is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong is in close to Sullivan's body, working some short punches and elbows. Armstrong stands up over Sullivan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sullivan wants to stand and escape but Armstrong is having none of it. Armstrong postures up in Sullivan's guard and throws a big left but Sullivan blocks it. Armstrong trying to control but Sullivan is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Armstrong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Armstrong throws a big right hand that misses. Armstrong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sullivan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Armstrong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Armstrong wants to control from the top but Sullivan keeps moving. Sullivan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sullivan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sullivan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Armstrong is controlling him. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Sullivan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sullivan closes the distance and clinches up with Armstrong, looking for a takedown. Sullivan pushes Armstrong against the cage but Armstrong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Armstrong feints and as Sullivan raises his hands in defense, Armstrong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Armstrong scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sullivan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Armstrong is controlling him. Armstrong with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Armstrong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Armstrong is in close to Sullivan's body, working some short punches and elbows. Armstrong lands a couple of elbows. Armstrong postures up and lands a big shot to Sullivan's brow. Armstrong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sullivan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Armstrong throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Armstrong with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Armstrong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sullivan's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie Armstrong dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Sullivan misses with a two punch combination.
Armstrong throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sullivan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Armstrong is in Sullivan's guard. Sullivan has his feet on Armstrong's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Sullivan throws a sloppy head kick and Armstrong moves out of range easily. Armstrong has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Armstrong looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Armstrong is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sullivan is rocked! Armstrong distracts Sullivan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Armstrong working some strikes from top position. Oh Sullivan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Armstrong cracks Sullivan with a solid left hand. Armstrong with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Armstrong prevents Sullivan from getting back to his feet. Armstrong arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sullivan's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Eddie Armstrong! A relieved looking Eddie Armstrong thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
