Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddie Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Corbin!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws a shot from downtown. Corbin moves away and avoids it.
Miller slips under a jab.
Miller was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Corbin feints and as Miller raises his hands in defense, Corbin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Miller lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Miller in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Corbin is keeping the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Corbin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Miller engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Corbin keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Miller passes Corbin's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Corbin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Corbin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Miller with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Miller trying to control the action but Corbin is working from the bottom.
Miller content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Miller continues to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Miller scores with a jab. Corbin acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Miller fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Corbin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Freddie Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Corbin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Miller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Corbin.
Freddie Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Corbin.
Nice shot by Miller.
Miller wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Miller scores with a shot to the body.
Corbin looks winded!
Miller lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


It looks like Paul Corbin has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Miller darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Miller darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Oooooh!!! Miller has knocked Corbin down with a huge combo! Miller steps away and waves a wobbly Corbin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Corbin is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corbin leaves his chin hanging out and Miller seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Corbin crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Freddie Miller!
