Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Rockatansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominick Cotto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominick Cotto struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Rockatansky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Cotto!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockatansky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cotto moves away.
Cotto appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Rockatansky moves out of range as Cotto throws a body kick.
Rockatansky closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cotto's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cotto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rockatansky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cotto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rockatansky working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cotto's head.
Rockatansky is in close to Cotto's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Cotto has momentary wrist control but Rockatansky slips an elbow through the middle.

Rockatansky landing some decent shots from guard.
Rockatansky distracts Cotto with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Cotto looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rockatansky trying to control but Cotto is working from the bottom.

Cotto has momentary wrist control but Rockatansky slips an elbow through the middle.
Cotto is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rockatansky gets to his feet and stands over Cotto, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cotto felt that one! Rockatansky unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cotto from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Rockatansky!
