Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DJ Smith!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Smith goes for a double leg but Booth avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Booth continues to drive forward.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith is struggling to control the position.
Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smith drives through and clinches with Booth against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Smith.
Smith wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Booth pulls his leg out and moves away.
Leonardo Booth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Smith.

Smith clinches up with Booth and pushes him back against the cage.
Smith fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Booth just stands there and leans against the cage.
Booth throws an elbow but it misses.
Smith is pushing Booth up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Smith is trying to pull guard but Booth has him pressed against the cage.
Booth is trying to break free.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Smith is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Booth to keep the fight standing.
Smith is trying to stall.
Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Booth looks to land a body kick but Smith moved away.
Smith misses with a double jab
and Booth makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Booth.
Booth drives through with a takedown into guard.
Smith looks winded!
Booth scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Booth decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Smith, up you get!
Smith swings for the body but Booth moves out of range.
As Smith backs away, Booth returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Booth attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Booth is trying to get back to his feet.
Smith looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Booth is avoiding damage well.
Booth sneaks out the side door and pushes Smith away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Booth swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
Booth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Booth decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Booth throws a body shot but no joy.
Booth thuds his shin into the meat of Smith's side.
Booth looks to land a body kick but Smith moved away.
Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Booth working some strikes from top position.
Booth decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Smith, up you get!
Smith fails with the takedown
and Booth counters with a one-two to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Booth swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Smith looking to score a takedown here. Booth is defending well but Smith drives through and ends up in Booth's guard.
Booth controls Smith momentarily but Smith frees himself.

Smith gets to his feet. Booth looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Booth counters with a nice body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Booth as Smith shoots in.

Booth shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Booth is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Booth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Booth keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Smith's head.
Booth lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Smith utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Booth decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Booth is looking to wear down Smith with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Smith avoids the body shot from Booth.

Booth misses with an attempted mid kick.
Booth closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Booth connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith is looking for a sweep.
Booth scoring with punches and elbows.
Booth is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Booth is working to tighten his grip on Smith's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Smith has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Booth is really squeezing tight and eventually Smith passes out! Booth breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
