Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Titan Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malik Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rain comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 8 - 4, fighting out of Los Angeles, Titan Rain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Malik Jones! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Rain seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A decent looking cross lands there for Rain. Jones scores with a decent looking hook. Rain plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rain closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones's guard. Jones has his foot on Rain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rain works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones wants to sweep here but Rain controlling him for the moment. Rain trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jones trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones keeping moving, preventing Rain from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rain is one step ahead there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rain throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Jones jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jones fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rain manages to avoid it. Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rain throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jones turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Jones throws a big shot that misses. Jones getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Jones throws a body punch but Rain moves out of range. It looked like Rain wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Rain takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a solid leg kick but Rain takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones. Rain swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rain takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Rain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A slapping body kick lands there for Rain. Jones throws a nice inside leg kick. Jones jabs at Rain's body. Rain circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jones duly obliges. Jones misses with a hook. Rain shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing. An attempted straight right counter from Rain misses the target. Rain shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Rain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rain misses with a kick to the body.
Jones misses with a wild body shot. Rain throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rain throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jones. Rain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. Rain lands with a good body shot. Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones wants to counter with a clinch but Rain pushes him away. Rain keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rain slips a straight right by Jones. Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rain, pushing him back against the cage. Rain blocking some punches.
Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rain gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rain is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Titan Rain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rain works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jones misses with a punch on the inside.
Jones lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rain backwards. Jones's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Rain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rain misses with some punches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rain blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Malik Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rain shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rain showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rain controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rain prevents Jones from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rain working the head and body with strikes. Jones is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rain scores with a couple of nice shots. Nice strikes from Rain there. Jones manages to get to full guard.
Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Jones preventing the sweep. Jones is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Rain tries to land a sweep but no joy.

No luck so far. Rain working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jones has passed into half guard!
Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rain is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard. Jones lands with a punch from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones lands with a punch from half guard. Rain regains full guard. Nicely done. Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rain is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Rain wants to sweep but no luck. Rain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Rain. Rain looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Rain gets a double leg takedown into Jones's guard. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rain stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Titan Rain dominated that second round. That's time! Rain's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jones takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jones gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Rain is just out of range. Jab by Jones. Rain is looking to clinch. Jones now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Rain lands the left hand. Rain attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Rain misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming. Rain throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jones looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rain takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rain feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Malik Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rain sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rain fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Rain throws a big shot that misses.

Rain bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Rain slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jones staying out of range there. Rain's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rain scrambles back to his feet. Rain throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it. Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot. Jones checks a leg kick. Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Rain. Jones lands a lovely overhand right. Jones checks a leg kick. Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rain sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rain throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot. Jones lands with a cross.

Rain fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Rain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Rain checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Rain appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Jones looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones. Rain tries to clinch but Jones moves away and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body. Rain throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rain throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Rain does a little dance to reset his feet. Rain takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Rain tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Rain throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rain is in Jones's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jones trying to control but Rain is working from the bottom. Rain working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Titan Rain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

Jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rain gets back to full guard.
Rain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily. Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rain trying to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Titan Rain. I think Rain has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Titan Rain! A less than humble Titan Rain misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
