Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doctor Delirious!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Adams!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams closes the distance and clinches.
Nice elbow from Adams.


It looks like Doctor Delirious has been cut.
A shot in the inside from Delirious.
Delirious being controlled against the cage.
Adams wants a takedown.

Adams lands a takedown into guard.

Delirious throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Delirious has momentary wrist control but Adams slips an elbow through the middle.
Delirious keeping moving, preventing Adams from controlling successfully.
Adams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Delirious is keeping the position for now.

Delirious has his foot on Adams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adams works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adams passes Delirious's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Delirious looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Adams landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Delirious is staying active underneath Adams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Delirious. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Delirious is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Adams pulls his head out easily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Adams thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Adams takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Delirious makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Delirious.

Delirious pushes a forearm under Adams's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Adams is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Doctor Delirious!
Doctor Delirious decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
