Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor avoids a punch combination nicely.
McGregor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Patterson circles away.

Patterson circles away from the clinch attempt.
McGregor lands a high kick!
McGregor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Patterson sprawls well initially but McGregor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McGregor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Patterson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
McGregor moves nicely into side control.
McGregor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Patterson keeps working.
Patterson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Patterson looks gassed!
McGregor controls the action.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McGregor lands strikes to the head.
McGregor looking for the choke from the back.
McGregor has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Patterson is trying to get back to his feet but McGregor has full control of the position and if anything, Patterson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
McGregor has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Patterson's body.
Patterson prevents McGregor from getting a body triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGregor is really struggling to control Patterson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
McGregor is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Patterson taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from McGregor.
