The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buhcannon shoots in for a double leg but Cousteau sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cousteau doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Buhcannon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cousteau's guard now.
Cousteau wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buhcannon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cousteau looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Buhcannon wants to stand but Cousteau has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Buhcannon gets to his feet - Cousteau follows without any prompting.

so Cousteau counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cousteau drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cousteau jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Buhcannon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cousteau can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Buhcannon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cousteau's guard.

Cousteau is striking from the bottom but Buhcannon uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Cousteau has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Buhcannon. Oh but Cousteau has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Buhcannon goes limp - he's gone! Cousteau jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
